Another Anniversary
We took a year off and returned full of strength for, not only the Proms Season with more Official concerts than ever before, but now, not one, but TWO unofficial ones. The Saturday afternoon slot, left vacant last year, was filled by a Brass Band, arranged by Dave Kell who plays Tuba with them. This programme, our most ambitious so far, also included our first première performance, the work of another promenader, Pip Millbrook. This work was scored for small orchestra, but included two saxophones, and a wordless female chorus. David Harman who writes the "Seasons Past" articles in the official programmes, did a similar job for us.
